Flair took to Twitter to confirm his new contract had been signed.

He wrote: “Limousine Riding, Jet Flying, Styling and Profiling… Then, Now, Forever With @WWE! WOOOOO!”

Although the 71-year-old’s days in the ring have long been over, with his last match coming in September 2011 against Sting on TNA Impact, he has made occasional TV appearances.

His last came during Triple H’s 25 anniversary celebration on SmackDown last month when Flair sent him a video message congratulating him on the special occasion.

Flair told talkSPORT last month about how much respect and admiration The Game deserves for what he has done for wrestling.

“Triple H, from the first time I met him, he’s been not only an unbelievably good performer, but he’s been very smart,” Flair told talkSPORT.

“When given the opportunity, however it came about, to contribute to the creative side of the business, he’s been a huge asset.

“His work in the ring is second to none and as an asset to the brain trust, the creative end of it, orchestration, he’s a huge part of that as well. And he deserves a lot of respect for both.”
