CM Punk insists Brock Lesnar is a completely different man outside of a WWE ring.
The Beast is one of the most intimidating people in wrestling and defends his WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre in night two of WrestleMania 36 on Sunday.
Since returning to Vince McMahon’s company in 2012 after a spell in the UFC, Lesnar has decimated countless wrestlers, including John Cena, Triple H and The Undertaker.
But Punk, who lost to Lesnar at SummerSlam in 2013, has called the 42-year-old ‘a f****** sweetheart’.
He told ESPN: “I don’t want to ruin his image, I think he’s a f****** sweetheart.
“This is a guy, when I got into MMA and I left wrestling, he was texting me, ‘Hey, if you need any help.’
“I’m always kind of a standoffish guy. It’s hard to open up and trust people in the pro wrestling world.
“I think Brock has got a big heart, and that’s something a lot of people don’t talk about.”
CM Punk is not the first person to recently endorse Lesnar.
Last month, former WWE Divas champion Paige revealed she is able to go to Lesnar for advice.
She said: “He’s scary, he’s definitely scary when you first meet him. He’s an intimidating man for sure.
“He’s massive, but once you get to know him, he’s also very sweet.
“If I want advice from him, he’ll be like, ‘yeah, sure I’ll give it to you.’ He’s a really wonderful help, too.”
