Chelsea will offer a player-plus-cash swap deal for Atletico Madrid’s star goalkeeper Jan Oblak. The Blues’ are hoping to send out-of-favour goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga plus £25million. Andros Townsend admits it’s only a matter of time before Wilfried Zaha leaves Crystal Palace for a bigger club. The Ivory Coast forward was strongly linked with an exit last summer, and it was no secret he was keen on leaving Selhurst Park to take his career to the next level. Chelsea forward Willian admits negotiations with Chelsea over a new contract have been ‘difficult’ after the club refused to change their offer. Willian is out of contract in the summer and wants a three-year extension. However, the Blues have only offered the 31-year-old two more years and are refusing to budge as the talks reach an impasse. Manchester United offered three times Erling Haaland’s release clause in a desperate bid to convince him to join the club in January. The Norwegian hotshot told United he wanted to sign but ended up going to Borussia Dortmund in a £17m deal. But the Red Devils are understood to have tabled a £50m offer to try and persuade Haaland to join. (SportBild)

Inter Milan could make a move for Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen if he fails to sign a new contract. Vertonghen, 32, would be available on a free transfer as his contract expires at the end of the season. The Serie A title chasers, who signed Christian Eriksen in January, are looking to bolster their defence going into the 2020/21 season. (Evening Standard)

Alexandre Lacazette has suggested that he will stay at Arsenal even if they fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League. The Gunners haven’t featured in the competition for the past three seasons and are sitting seven points off top four in the Premier League. But Lacazette has shot these claims of an exit down, claiming ‘everyone is happy’ with him at the club. (Daily Mail)
