And boxing-mad Stallone is clearly intrigued by the story of the ‘Gypsy King’.

The 31-year-old looks set to end 2019 as the No.1 ranked heavyweight in the world, just two years after ballooning up in weight in the midst of severe depression.

As he waits for the scars from his bout with Otto Wallin to heal and with a rematch with Deontay Wilder set for 2020, Fury has spent his time in the WWE and recording a Christmas single with Robbie Williams.

But the 31-year-old now looks set to take to the silver screen, as he explained on the Russell Howard Hour.

Fury said: “I have managed to do all of these things in the last year, a single with Robbie Williams, an autobiography and now I have had an offer from Sylvester Stallone to do a movie.

“It’s not another Rocky, I believe it’s an action film that they are looking for a villain to play the bad guy in – and probably get beat up by Stallone at the end.”

Stallone was, like most fight fans, stunned by Tyson Fury’s entrance for his Las Vegas debut against Tom Schwarz.

The 6ft 9ins showman donned a Stars and Stripes cape and hat in homage to Apollo Creed, with the former ‘Rocky’ star touched.

Stallone said: “Thank you to the amazing real life champion, Tyson Fury!

“It’s so incredibly gratifying to see these moments live on.

“Yo, it ain’t over til it’s over!“ sorry I meant 1985, still, it’s amazing!”

Fury joined talkSPORT on Thursday morning for an incredible interview, which you can listen back to here.
