Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has been spotted in Manchester in the hope of completing a sensational swap deal, according to reports.
The 47-year-old is supposedly trying to complete a deal which would see Mario Mandzukic move to Manchester United in January.
However, Tutto Mercato claims Juve want Paul Pogba to be included in any deal.
The France international spent four years in Turin and matured into one of the best midfielders in the world as he gained invaluable experience alongside the likes of Andrea Pirlo in Serie A.
However, he returned to Old Trafford in a world record £89million deal in 2016. But the move has been far from simple.
After falling out with former boss Jose Mourinho, Pogba then seemed to settle under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. But rumours about a second Old Trafford exit have persisted for the last six months.
After admitting playing for Real Madrid would be ‘a dream’, it then became clear Juventus were also interested.
Maurizio Sarri is keen to get Mandzukic off his books, regardless if a swap deal can be done.
United were keen on signing the Croatia international during the summer transfer window, but may now return with a £5m offer in January.
