Lewandowski was at his brilliant best as he helped his side batter Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund 4-0 at the Allianz Arena.

He scored two goals in the game and became the first player in Bundesliga history to score in eleven consecutive league games.

Lewandowski, who joined Bayern from Borussia Dortmund in June 2014, has been banging in the goals in Germany and Europe for a number of years now and is joint-top scorer in the Champions League group stage with the great Lionel Messi since the beginning of the 2014/15 season with 31.

Bayern are flying high in Europe, but have been somewhat off the pace at home.

However, this latest result against Dortmund could kick-start their season. Bayern are only one point behind league leaders Borussia Monchengladbach.

You wonder where Bayern would be without Lewandowski’s red-hot form and the team’s indifferent results only highlights just how brilliant their main striker has been.

In fact, Lewandowski has scored in every Bundesliga and Champions League game this season, which is 15 different matches where he’s found the net.

And unsurprisingly, he’s the top scorer in all competitions out of any player in Europe’s big five leagues (Bundesliga, La Liga, Ligue 1, Premier League and Serie A) in 2019/20 with 21 goals.

This table shows just how far ahead Lewandowski is ahead of the rest of the pack, with thanks to Opta.
