Please don’t Chuck
UFC president Dana White is hopeful that Chuck Liddell does not fight again.
The ‘Iceman’ is a former light heavyweight champion and his last bout was against rival Tito Ortiz, who he fought under Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions banner last November, his first time back in the Octagon for eight years.
White, who is a close friend of Liddell, has begged the UFC legend not to step foot in the Octagon again.
“Listen, Chuck is a very, very smart guy,” White said to TMZ.
“I’ve said it many, many times. Tito, not very smart. Not an intelligent guy. He’s just not! I’m not being mean, I’m not being rude.
“The worst thing about Tito is Tito’s one of those guys that thinks he’s smart but he’s not and those are the most dangerous type of guys. Chuck is actually a smart guy and I tried to talk both of them out of this De La Hoya fight, told them that this De La Hoya thing was bad.
“Chuck, I tried to talk out of the fight period. Chuck Liddell is 50 years old and should not be fighting. He’s a grown man and he can do whatever he wants to do but let me tell you what, the commission that sanctions that fight, wow.
“Chuck Liddell is one of the greatest people you could ever meet. He’s a good person. He’s a good guy.”
On the mend
Dana White has shared an image of Nate Diaz’s repaired face following his loss to Jorge Masvidal.
A doctor’s stoppage forced Diaz out of his UFC 244 main event bout at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night, as Masvidal won the specially designed ‘Baddest Motherf***er’ BMF belt.
White posted a photo on his Instagram of Diaz after he received 25 stitches for cuts above and below his right eye, writing: “Respect to @natediaz209 for pushing the Dr to continue.”

These cuts were much worse then they looked on TV. Respect to @natediaz209 for pushing the Dr to continue.
Jorge Masvidal has sensationally confirmed that he would be willing to step in and face either Kamaru Usman or Colby Covington in the main event of UFC 245.
Masvidal claimed the BMF title against Nate Diaz on Sunday and has enjoyed a phenomenal 2019, winning three consecutive fights, including two knockouts over Darren Till and Ben Askren, and propelling him to near the welterweight summit.
“I’d be the hero they need, but they don’t deserve, man,” Masvidal said (via MMAJunkie).
“They’d have to whip out the check book like they haven’t done it. My hands are f**ked up, man. I usually don’t say too much about my injuries, but my hand is a little jacked up, man. I need some rehab on it. So if I was to get in there, especially with those crotch sniffers, I know I can hit them with a f**king knee or something, so I could do it.
“Dana’s not going to like the figure. Neither’s Hunter or the UFC. So I’ll put it out there anyway, so it’s out in the universe. If one of those sissies gets hurt, they gotta pay me, man. They gotta f**king pay me.”
