Metz defender Manuel Cabit has been hospitalised after being involved in a car crash which left him ‘seriously injured’.
Cabit, 26, and Metz team-mate Kevin N’Doram were involved in the accident on the A4 autoroute, which connects Paris and Strasbourg, the Ligue 1 club announced.
N’Doram, the 23-year-old on loan from Monaco, came away from the incident unscathed, and ‘was able to quickly leave the hospital’, according to a club statement.
The statement read: “In the early afternoon of Sunday 3 November, Kévin N’Doram and Manuel Cabit were involved in a car accident on the A4 motorway.
“Kevin N’Doram, unharmed, was able to quickly leave the hospital. However, shocked by the accident, he will be put to rest for a few days.
“Manuel Cabit, unfortunately, was seriously injured. He is currently at CHU hospital in Reims. His condition is not life-threatening.
