Liverpool are reportedly keeping tabs on Brighton defender Ben White as he continues to impress on loan at Leeds United.
With Dejan Lovren never managing to convince Jurgen Klopp, it seems as though the Croatia defender will finally be allowed to leave Anfield.
White, who will spend the entire season on loan at Elland Road has emerged as a leading contender to take over the role after starring in the Championship thus far.
The 21-year-old was voted Player of the Month for August, collecting a whopping 44% of the vote from supporters.
And it seems as though he has got Klopp’s vote too after his impressive start to the season.
The Sun report Liverpool are keeping a close eye on the young centre-back after just 11 appearances.
Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip are established first-team players, but Joe Gomez is on the cusp after a number of injury set-backs throughout his career.
