Fabian Delph will miss England’s Euro 2020 qualifiers against the Czech Republic and Bulgaria after pulling out of the squad through injury.
The Everton midfielder moved to Goodison Park from Manchester City in the summer and was recalled to the Three Lions’ squad having missed out for their qualifiers in September.
But, despite playing the entirety of Eveton’s 1-0 loss at Burnley on Saturday, he has pulled out through injury – with manager Gareth Southgate opting against calling up a replacement.
As a result, England will head to Prague for Friday night’s game against the Czech Republic with a 24-man squad – and you can listen to commentary of the game LIVE on talkSPORT, kick-off 7:45pm.
Delph has 20 senior caps to his name and is a favourite of Southgate, who continued to select the former Leeds and Aston Villa man even when he was struggling to break into the team at City.
He has endured a difficult start to the 2019/20 season with Everton, who are in the Premier League’s relegation zone following their defeat at Turf Moor.

Southgate still has plenty of midfield talent at his disposal for the back-to-back away games with Ross Barkley, Jordan Henderson, James Maddison, Mason Mount, Declan Rice and Harry Winks also in the squad.
Midfielders Dele Alli of Tottenham and Manchester United’s Jesse Lingard were among the players to be omitted from Southgate’s squad.
There were also call-ups for the trio of young Chelsea stars Tammy Abraham, Mount and Fikayo Tomori.
Striker Abraham has made a particularly good start to the season with eights league goals to his name, which makes him joint-top scorer with Manchester City hotshot Sergio Aguero in the top flight in 2019/20.

Asked if it was an easy decision to include Abraham, Southgate said: “It was – he’s the leading English scorer in the league.
“He’s a player that came into the squad very young, at a time when we wanted to have a look at players ahead of the World Cup.
“That was a bit early for him but now with the opportunity he’s been given by Frank [Lampard], along with other English players at Chelsea, it’s a great chance for Tammy.
“He’s always scored goals with our junior teams, with the Chelsea youth teams, on loan in the Championship and now he’s really grasped this opportunity at the beginning of the season.”
