Brock Lesnar won the WWE title from Kofi Kingston in nine seconds on the first-ever SmackDown on FOX.
However, the big news of the main event came shortly after when Rey Mysterio’s music hit.
But the Master of the 619 was not alone, he was flanked by former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez who has signed a deal with WWE.
Velasquez is the same man that took the UFC heavyweight title from Lesnar back in 2010 via a first-round knockout.
Check out his debut below:
Velasquez, 37, is still signed to the UFC and is their number eight heavyweight in the rankings. However, he has begun to dabble in wrestling and has surprised a lot of people with his performances in Mexican promotion, AAA.
It now looks like Lesnar and Velasquez will renew their rivalry in WWE and Corey Graves was quick to point out on commentary that Velasquez was the man that took the title from Lesnar in UFC.
Will it be the same in WWE now that Lesnar is the champion?
