Christian Pulisic admits his lack of game time since arriving at Chelsea has been ‘very frustrating’.
The American winger has not played a single minute of the last three Premier League games after being left on the bench again during the 2-0 victory over Brighton on Saturday.
And the return of Callum Hudson-Odoi, who made his first Premier League appearance of the season as a substitute at Stamford Bridge, adds further doubt to Pulisic’s place in the starting XI.
However, despite his frustration, the £60million signing from Borussia Dortmund is determined to work his way back into Frank Lampard’s thoughts.
“It is very frustrating,” he told NBC Sport. “But I will continue to work my hardest because I want to play.

Lampard – who has made first-team regulars out of Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori – insists 21-year-old Pulisic needs time to adapt.
“It is normal to have an adaptation period,” Lampard said earlier this week. “He has shown some good moments this season and in pre-season but he must do it daily.
“He needs time to adapt but we support him on that. His time will come.”
