Liverpool are reportedly interested in former Arsenal starlet Donyell Malen following his heroics in front of goal for PSV Eindhoven.
Malen hit the headlines last weekend by scoring a remarkable FIVE goals in PSV’s Eredivisie defeat of Vitesse, which extended the Dutch club’s unbeaten start to the season to five games.
The 20-year-old forward added another goal in Thursday’s Europa League defeat of Sporting to take his tally for the season into double figures already.
He is just one goal short of matching his tally for the entire 2018/19 campaign, and, unsurprisingly, Malen’s performances have caught the attention of some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

One of the clubs keeping tabs on the youngster is Liverpool, according to Calciomercato in Italy.
The Reds are allegedly on the lookout for striking reinforcements to provide cover for Roberto Firmino, with Divock Origi clearly not of the required quality to deputise and only academy player Rhian Brewster behind him in the pecking order.

Malen is no stranger to English football having spent two years in Arsenal’s academy during which time he established himself as one of the club’s best prospects.
He was wanted by Chelsea and Man City before opting to sign for the Gunners, but after scoring 27 goals for the club’s youth sides in two years, Malen returned to his homeland to join PSV.
