Rangers are set to sign Ryan Kent from Liverpool on a permanent basis.
The winger impressed in a season-long loan spell at Ibrox last season, making 43 appearances and scoring six goals.
Gers boss Steven Gerrard has been determined to re-sign Kent all summer, but his former club were unwilling to sanction another loan move.
Now Rangers have reignited their interest and are understood to have agreed a fee of £7million with Liverpool for the 22-year-old.
Rangers have until midnight tonight – when the transfer window in Scotland closes – to get the deal finalised.
Kent’s arrival will be a big boost for Gerrard, after his side were beaten 2-0 by bitter rivals Celtic at Ibrox on Sunday.

Kent is set to be followed out of the Liverpool exit door by Bobby Duncan.
