Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly keen on signing Jan Vertonghen.
The Tottenham defender made his first appearance of the season in Spurs’ 2-2 draw with Arsenal on Sunday.
Vertonghen was left out of the Spurs squad for their opening-day win over Aston Villa and failed to get off the bench against Manchester City and Newcastle.
The 32-year-old’s lack of game time has led to speculation surrounding his future with the European transfer window open until Monday.
German outlet Kicker claim Leverkusen are interested in Vertonghen, who has just one year left on his Spurs deal.
Leverkusen have kept just one clean sheet in their opening four games this season.
Real Madrid target Christian Eriksen is another Spurs player who has been linked with a move away from the club.
But Pochettino admitted ‘it’s nearly impossible’ for the Dane to leave this summer.

Tottenham boss says ‘it’s nearly impossible’ for Eriksen to leave this summer
Despite Pochettino keeping his star men as things stand, he has expressed his annoyance over the European transfer window not closing at the same time as the Premier League market.
He said “I hope that we fix the problem for the next season.
“We need to go back and operate in the same way that they operate in Europe because I think it’s massive when you go to compete in the Europa League or Champions League.”
