Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed he spoke to Sadio Mane after the winger was caught on camera venting his frustrations after being substituted.
The Reds usurped champions Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table with a convincing 3-0 win at Turf Moor on Saturday evening.
The Senegal international, who scored his fourth goal in as many games, become annoyed after apparently failing to receive a pass from Mohamed Salah late on.
He was taken off shortly afterwards and proceeded to show a side to his character rarely seen in the mild-mannered forward.
“Yes, very okay, all good,” Klopp said. “These guys throw everything on the pitch and sometimes they are not happy but it is all fine.
“We spoke about it after and I respect that a lot as long as the boys invest so much.
“We are not always choir boys, they really are men!
“So we spoke afterwards and it is fine and everything is good again.”
Roberto Firmino became the first Brazilian to reach 50 Premier League goals before the focus turned to Mane when the pair were taken off five minutes from time.
The win extended their 100 per cent record to four matches, maintained their two-point lead over Manchester City and set a new club record for 13 consecutive league victories.
