Liverpool release limited edition ‘blackout’ kit to honour legendary manager Bob Paisley and the European Cup success

Liverpool have released a new limited edition ‘blackout’ kit.

The classy jersey pays tribute to former manager Bob Paisley, who guided the Reds to six top-flight titles and three European Cups between 1974 and 1983.

The kit pays tribute to the centenary celebrations of Paisley’s birth, who was born in January 1919, with his signature inscribed on the inside of the neck.

It draws inspiration from the legendary boss’ final season with Liverpool when he clinched an impressive sixth First Division title.

Unveiling the kit on their Twitter and Instagram page, New Balance said: “Black on black.

“Introducing the limited edition New Balance x @LFC 19-20 Blackout Shirt. #NBFootball.”

Liverpool will be hoping to win more silverware this term after claiming a sixth Champions League trophy in June.

The Reds have maintained a 100 per cent start to the 2019/20 Premier League season, beating Norwich, Southampton and Arsenal.
