Jon Jones put aside his rivalry with Daniel Cormier to offer him a touching message of support following the death of his father.
Cormier, a former two-weight world champion, shared the news on social media that his father, Percy Benoit, had passed away.
The tragic news comes just two weeks after Cormier lost his heavyweight title to Stipe Miocic at UFC 241, when he was knocked out in the fourth round.

Darren Till is moving up to middleweight where he will face Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 244 on November 2.
Till will make his debut in the 185 pound class at Madison Square Garden having teased the step up in weight for over a year, but held off while he was near the top of the welterweight rankings.
The Liverpudlian will have a huge task on his hands up against Gastelum, himself a former welterweight, who has beaten the likes of Johnny Hendricks, Michael Bisping and Ronaldo Souza.
Social media pays
UFC flyweight Paige VanZant has revealed she generates more income from posting on social media than she does fighting.
“I make way more money sitting at home, posting pictures on Instagram, than I do fighting,” VanZant said, adding she is looking for a pay rise.

With her UFC contract coming to an end, the flyweight is hoping to agree an extension with the company after her final fight, which is yet to be announced.
“I’ve just been extremely accomplished outside of the UFC, as well as inside of the UFC. Five wins in the UFC, four finishes, I’ve been main event twice, and I think someone with those accolades should be paid more.”
