To some, it’s inconceivable one could make such money from playing a computer game, but eSPORTS has exploded in recent years. caught up with MoAuba to discuss winning the biggest FIFA tournament possible and he gave us a valuable tip to become a better player.

So, how does it feel to be the best FIFA player in the world?

I’m fine now that I know it is real! At first, I thought I was dreaming so I’m really happy.

The question we’re all wondering: how did you get so good at playing FIFA?

I played a lot against my older brother and he was always better. For like, ten years from FIFA 2004-2014, he was always better and would beat me. That made me want to get better and play it a lot, just that competition in the family. And then I got better and better and eventually started to beat him at around 15 years old. After, I started my eSPORTS FIFA career at FIFA 16.

What was the key to winning this eWorld Cup?

I think I’m one of the most experienced professional players because I had qualified for every tournament in the past two years and I also did well in the tournaments. In the previous two World Cups I lost in the semi-finals, so I was always close to getting the trophy but something was missing. Maybe I was too nervous or something, but this year was perfect and I was really relaxed or calm.

While the changes range from subtle to bold in FIFA titles, how hard is it for you to adapt quickly and stay a strong player?

I think I’m famous for adapting to the new games and understanding the new features. When I started playing FIFA 20, shooting was probably the hardest thing. I try everything in the game to find what’s wrong in the game to find advantages against opponents.

Finally, what’s the one tip you’d give anyone looking to become a better FIFA player?

With the new features, it would be the timed finish and the goalkeeper movement. It’s easy to make and it’s a game-changer when you want to score goals and save the ball one-on-one. Just practice.

FIFA 20 is out on September 27 and is available to pre-order now.
