Manchester United are reportedly close to agreeing a deal with Tottenham over the transfer of Christian Eriksen.
The future of the Dane has been a hot topic this summer, with just one year remaining on his current contract at Spurs.
The 27-year-old admitted in June that he wants to leave the club this summer for a ‘new challenge’ – and Real Madrid were believed to be interested in striking a deal to bring him to LaLiga.
Eriksen has made it clear that he would be open to joining the Spanish giants, but he is not the club’s desired option as Bernabeu boss Zinedine Zidane continues to prioritise a move for Man United’s Paul Pogba.

However, Old Trafford chiefs are holding firm on their £150million valuation of the Frenchman, and with less than a week to finalise a deal the move is looking unlikely.
According to AS, Real are still considering a move for Eriksen should their bid to sign Pogba fail – however, the report also states that Eriksen is now ‘seriously considering’ a proposal from the Red Devils after he was offered a five-year contract in recent days.

Eriksen is said to be ‘convinced’ by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer strategy to rebuild the club and get them back amongst Europe’s elite.
Solskjaer also has a strong relationship with Denmark’s Norwegian coach Age Hareide and the pair have discussed Eriksen’s future.
It is believed Spurs would be willing to part ways with Eriksen if a bid in the region of £60m is submitted.
