Boxing news: Eddie Hearn ranks top five heavyweights featuring Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder, Andy Ruiz Jr and Dillian Whyte

Eddie Hearn has still ranked Anthony Joshua as the number one heavyweight in the world, despite his defeat to Andy Ruiz Jr.

The promoter, who represents Joshua and Dillian Whyte, admitted that ‘on paper’ AJ is no longer the world’s best, however insisted that his belief in his man has not faded following the loss.

However, when asked to take results into account and rank them all ‘on paper’, he changed it to this list:

1. Andy Ruiz Jr

2. Tyson Fury

3. Anthony Joshua

4. Deontay Wilder

5. Dillian Whyte

Hearn’s ratings will inevitably cause controversy with many believing Tyson Fury deserves to be crowned as the top heavyweight today.

Meanwhile, Dillian Whyte has produced his own ranking and thinks that he should be higher up than where his promoter has placed him.
