Hughie Fury vs Samuel Peter result: Tyson Fury’s cousin wins dirty fight by bizarre stoppage on Amir Khan vs Billy Dib undercard

Hughie Fury continued his return with an odd victory over Samuel Peter on Amir Khan’s undercard, Friday night in Saudi Arabia.

The 24-year-old, who was beaten at the top level against Joseph Parker in 2017 and Kubrat Pulev in 2018, is now once again having to rebuild.

He initially did so with a return knockout win over Chris Norrad in May and has now secured another stoppage victory, this time in bizarre fashion.

38-year-old former world champion Peter, known for being beaten by Wladimir Klitschko twice and Vitali Klitschko once, began the fight by hurling looping shots at Tyson Fury’s cousin.

The youngster evaded these wild hayemakers with ease and began to land with singles of his own, frustrating the ‘Nigerian Nightmare’.

As a result, Peter started committing several fouls, including hitting Fury around the back of the head, hitting him while holding and hitting him low.

He was deducted a point and warned on multiple occasions before the situation came to a conclusion in the seventh.

Peter seemingly dislocated his shoulder while simultaneously holding Fury and hitting him low, and subsequently blamed the injury on the referee for crashing into him as a means of separating the two big men.

Ultimately it was decided he could not continue and so the bout was waved off – Hughie is now 23-2.
