In Fury’s last bout, against Deontay Wilder in 2018, he fought one of the year’s best fights when the duo produced a thrilling draw at Los Angeles’ Staples Center in December.

UFC superstar McGregor was clearly impressed with what he saw and uploaded a video to his Twitter, along with the following words.

“This is what fully committed pad work looks like,” he wrote on Twitter.

“Amazing! Welcome to The Mac Life “Gypsy King” Tyson Fury! Leading the game from all angles. Enjoy Sin city my man we are not here for a long time, we are here for a good time. Atta boy Tyson, The number 1 HW boxer of this era.”

It is not the first time McGregor has thrown compliments Fury’s way.

In October 2018, Fury told Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show: “I think Conor has transcended the game of MMA.

“He’s set precedents, he’s set the game on fire. He’s definitely a game-changer in MMA.

“He’s crossed over, he’s fought Mayweather, he’s become a massive superstar and he should definitely be very proud of himself.”

After hearing the remarks, McGregor responded on social media.

He tweeted: “The ‘Gypsy King.’ You are a top man, Tyson. Thank you.”

To which Fury simply replied: “Facts are facts.”
