If multiple reports are to be believed, Triple H is getting increasingly frustrated with Vince McMahon backstage in WWE.
Earlier this week, a close friend of three WWE writers – of which there are around 40 – called into PWTorch.com’s post-RAW podcast and talked about how frustrated Triple H is right now.
“No one should rip on WWE creative. They have some of the most brilliant, unbelievable cool ideas that I’ve ever heard… We’re writing for an audience of one and never forget that [and if not] you’re out of here.”
“The most frustrated person in the back every single night is Triple H. He’ll always take, especially the NXT guys, under his wing. It looks like he’s consoling them. It looks so much like he was the most frustrated person in the building every single night.”
Furthermore, a source has told the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Triple H is indeed frustrated with how things are going on the main roster right now and Vince seems to be the common denominator.
In this instance though, they think Vince is far too open to ideas and by the time he has giving his vast writing team their input, all original ideas are too watered down.
Triple H is left frustrated after cultivating an original idea, but then a writer will change one detail with Vince and that has a ripple effect on the rest of the story.
Vince continues to work a busy schedule with his company despite turning 74 this August.
The Observer noted that Mr. McMahon is often in the office past midnight, close to 3am at least once a week, and Fridays are said to be his “easy day” at work, but he still works until 8pm then.
It was also said that Vince is mostly working and lifting weights while he’s at the office, and occasionally watching some football on the weekends, unbelievably.
The report also states that Triple H picks his spots when it comes to talking to McMahon and when he does, he does it privately.
For those fans that had hoped the launch of XFL in 2020 would give Triple H a greater influence on the company, McMahon has said WWE will remain his priority.
With the continuing excellence of NXT and NXT UK – both under Triple H’s guidance – many fans have come to long for the day Triple H inherits the real throne in WWE.
The distance between the products of NXT and the main roster has never been so profound and something has to give between Triple H and McMahon.
