Sasha Banks finally responds to reports she tried to quit WWE after WrestleMania 35

After WrestleMania 35, there were a lot of rumours about Sasha Banks.

There’s been plenty. But, the fact we haven’t seen Banks since the Showpiece of the Immortals has only given credence to them.

First of all, it was reported that Banks and tag team partner Bayley were laying on the locker room floor at ‘Mania and openly talking about their displeasure at having to drop the Tag Team titles.

Then it was said that as a result of that booking and the news that WWE would be moving best friend Bayley to SmackDown and leaving Banks on Raw, The Boss asked for her release from the company.

That wasn’t granted, supposedly, and the two parties have been at something of a standoff ever since.

Although Banks has been active on Instagram and has been doing a fair amount of travelling, the former four-time Women’s champion didn’t care to comment on the rumours – until now.

A fan posted: “I unfortunately side with @wwe in the case of @SashaBanksWWE. Quitting because you don’t want to lose is extremely selfish. As a 4 time women’s champion and first women’s tag team champion alot of women put you over for you to walk out like this!!! #ungrateful.”

The Boss enquired: “Who said that?”

The fan responded that he read it on the internet and urged her to respond to the gossip before pleading with her to return to WWE.

He replied: “The internet… If it’s not true you gotta let us know!!! The company legit needs you. You see what’s happening to ratings since you left TV!!!”

Bank’s response to that was pretty funny by all accounts.

Whatever the reason for Banks’ break from the company, it probably goes back to an original report that suggested there had been some broken promises.

With plenty of time remaining on the deal she signed last summer, Banks and WWE need to come to an arrangement sooner rather than later.
