Aston Villa made it through to the Championship play-off final with a penalty shootout victory against West Brom at the Hawthorns on Tuesday night.
The two sides could not be separated after 120 minutes with the tie ending 2-2 on aggregate.
Penalties were needed to put Villa through to the final with Tammy Abraham scoring the winning spot kick.
Craig Dawson’s first half goal got the Baggies back into the semi-final to level the teams 2-2 on aggregate.
Dawson rose highest from Mason Holgate’s long throw to nod it in to the far corner.
Chances were rare for either side but West Brom found themselves down to 10 men again when Chris Brunt received his marching orders in the 80th minute.
The captain was shown a second yellow card for a late challenge just outside the box.
The match went into extra-time as neither side could find a winner in the 90 minutes.
Aston Villa piled on the pressure on the 10-man side but West Brom’s defence held out to take the match to penalties.
