Bayern Munich release classy new adidas home kit for 2019/20 season which pays tribute to the Allianz Arena
Bayern Munich have released their new adidas home kit for the 2019/20 season.
Inspired by the Allianz Arena, the new red shirt will feature diamonds on the front to pay homage to the ‘forward-thinking’ architecture of their home.

Featuring red socks and red shorts, the design sees Bayern move away from the navy shorts included in this season’s kit.
A statement on the club’s official website described the kit as looking to the future whilst ‘honouring the past’.
It read: “The backdrop to an unprecedented six consecutive domestic titles, the stadium’s unique red coloured, energetic lighting façade inspires the bold design of the 2019/20 season’s home jersey.
“The traditional all-red design of the home shirt is emblazoned with the stadium’s unmissable diamond architecture, remixed and digitalised into a daring new pattern as the club look to the future whilst honouring the past.”

Older fans will recognise the all-red trim from the archives as the Bavarian giants wore all red during the 70’s and 80’s during which time they were competing for European supremacy with Liverpool – also decked out in red.
Bayern have played at the Allianz Arena since the 2005-06 season, eith the club becoming the sole tenants in 2017 after a rental contract involving neighbours 1860 Munich was terminated.
