Manchester City fans hurled abuse, and a pint, at Gary Neville before their Premier League clash with Brighton at the Amex Stadium on Sunday.
Neville was at the ground to cover the match for Sky Sports and had to make his way through a group of City fans to get to the stadium.
The Manchester United legend received a torrent of verbal abuse from the fans and had to duck as a pint was launched at his head.
The incident was caught on video by one City fan and posted to Snapchat with the caption ‘Red c***’.
Some City fans were more diplomatic and appeared to apologise on behalf of the others.
The 44-year-old quickly left the area and managed to get up some stairs before giving the fans a thumbs up when he neared the top.
