Liverpool are set to beat rivals Manchester United to the signing of ‘the Turkish Lionel Messi’ this summer, according to reports.
19-year-old midfielder Abdulkadir Omur has captured the attention of some of the biggest clubs in Europe with his performances this season.
The Trabzonspor starlet has scored four times and grabbed eight assists this season, and United were thought to be at the head of the queue.
However a report from Asist Analiz claims it is in fact Liverpool who are closing in on the signing of the talented teen.
After seeing an initial offer of £18million rejected, it is understood the Turkish side have demanded £20million and 15% of any future transfer.
The starlet has also drawn comparisons with Galatasaray legend Gheorghe Hagi and was watched by scouts from Old Trafford as well as Lille.
