Vasyl Lomachenko next fight: Ukrainian confirms September return following Anthony Crolla KO

Vasyl Lomachenko will return to the ring in September following confirmation that his hand injury is not as serious as first feared.

The 31-year-old believed he’d broken his right hand with the shot that knocked out Anthony Crolla on Friday night in LA, however this has now been identified as just a dislocated knuckle.

Lomachenko is still the WBA and WBO lightweight champion

As a result, Loma took to social media and simply told his fans: “See you in September.”

Manager Egis Klimas elaborated in an interview with ESPN: “His knuckle, it’s just dislocated, no surgery needed.

“They just put it back in place, three weeks in a cast and he’ll be good to go.

“We will see him back in the ring, most likely in September.”

Vasyl Lomachenko KOd Anthony Crolla to retain his WBA and WBO titles on Friday night in what was a mandatory defence against an overmatched challenger.

It took just four rounds of Loma domination before the bout was brought to an end by his precise right hook.
