Low turnout as Embakasi South residents vote in by-election – PHOTOS

Voters trickled to polling stations in Embakasi South constituency on Friday morning to elect their MP after the seat fell vacant last December.

The byelection was prompted after former MP Irshad Sumra successfully petitioned the election of Julius Mawathe at the Supreme Court.

IEBC chairperson Wafula Chebukati has told journalists that polling stations opened at 6am and voting is going on well.
