While Liverpool are going for their first ever Premier League title, Fulham are fighting to preserve their status in the English top flight.
They have leaked goals all season, conceding 68 in the league – more than any other team in the division – and they next face one of Europe’s best attacking teams in Liverpool.
However, it’s not just this season’s woes that should worry the Fulham faithful as the west London club have been on the end of some pretty embarrassing drubbings against the Merseysiders.

The Reds even managed to hit double figures against the Cottagers in a League Cup tie at Anfield in September 1986.

Four goals from Steve McMahon, an Ian Rush brace and goals from John Wark, Ronnie Whelan, Steve Nicol and an own goal completed the 10-0 rout and the Reds, who were in their golden age at the time, didn’t even win a trophy that season.
It should be noted that Fulham were in the old Third Division in the 1986/87 campaign so a loss by ten goals does not appear as bad first thought.
Fulham fans will be hoping there’s no repeat performance on Sunday though!
