Simon Jordan insists Eden Hazard’s proposed move to Real Madrid is not a foregone conclusion.
Hazard has always been strikingly open about his ambition to play for Real Madrid one day, and his idolisation of Zidane Zidane is no secret either.
So it’s hardly surprising rumours of a switch to the Bernabeu have grown stronger since Zidane returned to the Bernabeu for a second stint as manager.
If the Blues were to lose their star player this summer, they would be unable to sign a replacement due to the two-window transfer ban recently imposed by FIFA.
But Jordan, the former Crystal Palace chairman, insists England’s top clubs can fend off the likes of Madrid.

“The kid sends out mixed messages,” Jordan told talkSPORT.
“You never know whether you’re Arthur or Martha with him. One minute he’s here and the next he’s going.
“So I don’t think it’s necessarily a foregone conclusion that he’ll go to Madrid because I think Chelsea have still got a lot of lure about them.
“Everyone’s house is for sale if someone offers you twice the price for it. In this situation, what benefit is the money if they can’t buy any players?
“I think it’s a sad situation for English football if we lose a prestigious talent like that, because he is a very talented player and I don’t think Real Madrid and Barcelona are bigger clubs than the English clubs anymore.

“I think that’s all part of the past and I don’t see why Madrid should be attracting the players to go over there.
“We should be able to keep them at the Chelseas, Manchester Uniteds and Manchester Citys of the world.”
Reports suggest the La Liga club will move for Hazard this summer, and the Blues will demand £100million to sell him.
