Leeds United are the only team in the top four tiers of English football who have not dropped a point after scoring first this season.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side are battling for promotion from the Championship and are currently in second place, two points behind leaders Norwich City.
If Leeds score first then there is no stopping them from going on to win, according to the statistics.
The Championship club have scored the opener in 17 of their games this season and taken all three points in every match.
They have gone on to score 37 goals in these fixtures and let in just six and kept 12 clean sheets in the process.
This incredible record has helped them be in contention for promotion to the Premier League.
In the 19 games where they have not scored first, they have won just four, drawn seven and lost eight.
In those 19 matches they have conceded 32 goals.
Leeds will be hoping to continue that fine run of scoring first and going on to win when they travel Reading on Tuesday.
