Sergio Aguero bagged a hat-trick as Manchester City beat Arsenal 3-1 and closed the gap on title rivals Liverpool.
The Argentine scored inside the opening minute for the second consecutive game, stooping low to fire a header past Bernd Leno after sloppy play from Alex Iwobi.
But after a frantic ten minutes, the Gunners were level as Laurent Koscielny replicated Aguero’s opener with a diving header of his own.
And just as the visitors began to grow into the game, Aguero rounded off a beautiful City move on the stroke of half-time to give his side the lead.
He completed his treble of tap-ins with a rather fortuitous third – Leno palmed the ball into his midriff and watched in agony as the ball just trickled over the line.
