Ander Herrera will end speculation about his Manchester United career by signing a new deal at the club, according to reports.
The midfielder will reportedly commit his future to the Red Devils after being convinced by caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Spaniard’s contract is still due to expire in the summer, but Solskjaer is keen to keep him at Old Trafford.
According to The Sun, the affection shown by the 29-year-old towards the club has convinced the interim boss a new deal is warranted.
Wages had proved to be a stumbling block in previous negotiations for a new deal for Herrera.
The former Athletic Bilbao midfielder earns around £120,000-a-week in Manchester on his current deal, which has six months left.
