Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas ranked third favourite to win 2019 WWE Royal Rumble

The Royal Rumble emanates from the Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona on January 27 and that’s when WrestleMania season truly begins.

Alongside SummerSlam, Survivor Series and, of course, WrestleMania, the Rumble is still one of the WWE‘s four biggest pay-per-views and they are sure to pull out all the stops.

With the 32nd iteration of the event fast approaching, the bookmakers have released their odds for the event and Seth Rollins is the overwhelming favourite for the men’s Rumble.

However, interestingly enough, Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas weighs in as the third favourite just behind Drew McIntyre in second.

Almas has been used sparingly since arriving on SmackDown Live from NXT following WrestleMania last year and lost alongside manager Zelina Vega to John Cena and Becky Lynch on the past episode of SmackDown.

Considering he has such little momentum, a run to the final four of the Rumble – which he is 9/4 with Sky Bet to do – would have to be considered a shock.

Almas is followed by Finn Balor in the odds before the likes of John Cena, AJ Styles, The Miz and The Rock can all be found next at 20/1.

For the women, it’s hardly surprising that Becky Lynch is the 2/5 favourite according to Sky Bet. Charlotte Flair weighs in next at 5/2 and then Alexa Bliss is way out at 16/1, clearly indicating that fans should expect a two-horse race here.

The respective winners will go on to face the world champions of their choosing at WrestleMania 35 and it has long been reported that Becky Lynch will main event the show against Raw Women’s champion Ronda Rousey while Rollins will dethrone Brock Lesnar for the Universal title.
