Of course, Kenny Omega is just hours away from defending his IWGP heavyweight title against Hiroshi Tanahashi at Wrestle Kingdom 13, but with the announcement of All Elite Wrestling and all of Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks and Hangman Adam Page signing, the fact that Omega hasn’t signed suggests he’s giving WWE serious consideration.

ROH, AEW and NJPW all set to meet after Wrestle Kingdom 13

With the launch of All Elite Wrestling spawning from the minds of Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks, it should come as no surprise to see that they are open to working with two companies they have performed with a lot over the past couple of years.

Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling have agreed to a three-way meet, according to Dave Meltzer, following the climax of Wrestle Kingdom 13. The idea is for the three companies to work in harmony with regards to talent and events, but Meltzer cautions “political issues could interfere”.

Vince McMahon is considering “switching up” the New Day

Bryan Alvarez reports: “Vince is back thinking about switching up the New Day again. He thought about it a year ago and did nothing. Now he’s thinking about it again. The act has been the same for years and years and years. There could be some changes for The New Day in 2019.”

AEW owner big CM Punk fan

A tweet from All Elite Wrestling owner Tony Khan from back in 2012 shows he has been keeping an eye on the independents for a long time.

Khan, a co-owner of Fulham and the Jacksonville Jaguars, said he enjoyed Ring of Honor a lot less since Punk, Danielson (Daniel Bryan) and Claudio (Cesaro) left the company while reserving praise for then-ROH competitor now-SmackDown Live star, Shelton Benjamin. Could he make a move for some of his favoured talents? Punk is certainly available.

Seth Rollins the bookies favourite for the Royal Rumble

It seems the universal opinion – no pun intended – of the bookmakers here in the UK is that Seth Rollins will win this year’s Royal Rumble.
