A Liverpool fan has told talkSPORT he will ‘never forgive’ Jurgen Klopp if the Reds fail to win the Premier League title this season.
And he says the manager should leave the club if Liverpool throw away their lead at the top of the table.
‘Robbie the Red’ was red with rage on Thursday night’s Sports Bar after watching his team suffer their first defeat of the season to title rivals Manchester City.
Liverpool went to the Etihad knowing a victory would open up a nine-point lead at the league summit, and a ten-point lead over the defending champions.
But instead, City were the better team as goals from Sergio Aguero and Leroy Sane sealed a 2-1 win to claw the gap back to just four.
And it’s fair to say Robbie was not best pleased with the result, or his manager’s tactics…
Calling into the Sports Bar, he raged: “We were the ones who were seven points clear, we should have gone there, won the game and won the league.
“But now they’ve got all the momentum because we’ve got two overrated midfielders, and I don’t know how one of them wears the armband, and we’ve got a centre-half who is the best in the world, according to himself, who can’t defend to save his life!
“It’s just an absolute joke, mate!
“I support the team as much as I can, but we’ve lost cup finals under this man, we’ve not won anything yet and we’ve thrown a real opportunity away.
“I hate to say it, but we’ve done it again, we’ve thrown it away again.
“For me, Jurgen got it wrong. He’s spent a lot of money and we’ve got the team now, but the tactics tonight were his fault.
“I simply will not forgive that manager unless we win this league.
“If we don’t win the league this season I think he should go, because he would have failed again.”
