Diego Maradona has been rushed to hospital for emergency surgery.
Doctors discovered the Argentina legend had a stomach bleed during a routine check-up in a clinic in Buenos Aires.
Once the bleeding was discovered, Maradona was sent off for further evaluation where it is believed he will undergo an endoscopy.
He is being accompanied by his son, Diego Jr. and two of his daughters; Giannina and Jana.
Prior to the World Cup in the summer, the former Barcelona and Napoli player had injections into his knees to slow down the effects of arthritis.
Maradona was seen hobbling during a training session as he had gel-like fluid injected into his knee joints.
