Amir Khan has decided to fight Terence Crawford next, rather than Kell Brook, according to reports.
It is well known that Khan has been in the process of choosing between the two over the holiday period, and he is now understood to have opted for the American.
BoxingScene claim that Khan has informed his promoter Eddie Hearn of the decision, and will likely be matched with the WBO welterweight world champion on April 20 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
This outcome will be a massive blow to Brook, who has been campaigning for a domestic showdown with Khan for several years.
In recent weeks, he even agreed to meet his bitter rival down at welterweight (147lbs) with a 10lbs rehydration clause, despite contesting his last two contests in the division above.
However it was not enough to lure the Bolton man into signing and so his Sheffield foe must look elsewhere, having already been targeted by two world champions.
