A Manchester United fan has told talkSPORT he will EMIGRATE if Liverpool are crowned Premier League champions this season.
Liverpool face title rivals Manchester City in a season-defining clash at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday night, where a Reds win would extend their lead at the top to nine points.
Jurgen Klopp’s side remain unbeaten and are in a fantastic position to end the club’s 29-year wait for a league title this term.
But it appears that would be too much for some rival supporters…
A number of United fans called into the Sports Breakfast on Thursday admitting they are throwing their support behind City, in the hope their noisy neighbours can thwart Liverpool’s title bid.
One even said he was on his way to the Etihad Stadium to buy a Man City shirt!
And others jokingly claimed they would leave the country if the Reds lifted the trophy – partly in shame and partly because they wouldn’t be able to stand Liverpool fans’ celebrations.
Not that the Anfield faithful would be bothered, according to Tony the Liverpool supporter: “I do hope they carry out their threat to leave the country, because the immigration problem will be solved overnight!”
