Conor McGregor uploaded a brief clip of him training up his 18-month-old son – Conor Jr – to see in 2019.
The Irish MMA star posted the video on his Instagram story, in which he was seen holding the pads for his boy, who pounded away like his father.
2018 wasn’t the greatest of years for McGregor professionally as he found himself in serious hot water for attacking a bus containing rival Khabib Nurmagomedov, before then being beaten by the Russian in the Octagon.
The New Year promises to be brighter for the two-weight champion as he has a second child on the way and is expected by Dana White to be back competing again next summer.
It seems clear that McGregor will be targeting a rematch with Khabib, a fight that White has confirmed “should happen” so long as everything proceeds as expected.
The two fighters must first appear before the Nevada State Athletic Commission to receive punishments for the brawl which broke out after Nurmagomedov’s victory.
However, the UFC boss told TMZ that he does expect both men to meet again in 2019.
