Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos might be in his 16th senior season but he’s still creating career firsts – and surprising ones at that.
The Spanish centre-back, 32, has had a glittering time in football and is one of the most decorated players in history thanks to four league title and four Champions League wins.
And he’s done it all with no problem when it comes to playing dirty too, happy to get stuck in or use the dark arts to win matches.
But in 2018, for the first year in his career, which also included a spell with Sevilla, Ramos hasn’t been sent off once!
The Spanish star been sent off 24 times in his time with Real, an astonishing record, but this year it would seem he’s turned over a new leaf – not that Liverpool supporters would agree after his Champions League final antics.
Many felt he should have been shown red for the challenge which ended Mohamed Salah’s participation in Real’s 3-1 victory in Kiev.
