Manchester United fans love Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for playing Angel Gomes against Huddersfield

Just when you thought Manchester United fans couldn’t love Ole Gunnar Solskjaer any more, he does this.

With nine minutes to go in their 3-1 win over Huddersfield, the Norwegian, who is now interim Red Devils manager, took off Juan Mata and replaced him with wonderkid Angel Gomes.

And it went down a storm with the club’s fans as they revelled in their current boss handing a homegrown talent a shot in the first-team.

Gomes made his debut, under Jose Mourinho, back in May 2017 when he replaced Wayne Rooney against Crystal Palace at 16 years and 263 days old.

That made him the youngest Red Devils star since Duncan Edwards in 1953 and now, a year and a half later, he’s back.

And while he didn’t contribute much other than one shot and one dribble, the move from Solskjaer has left fans over the moon, as you can see below.
