Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been backed to score 30 Premier League goals this season by team-mate Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
The Gunners ace hit the back of the net twice in the 3-1 win over Burnley on Saturday, taking his tally to 12 in just 18 top flight appearances.
And his goal-getting exploits aren’t just winning plaudits from fans as his Greek colleague revealed he was backing the Gabonese ace to with the Golden Boot ahead of Mohamed Salah, Harry Kane, Sergio Aguero, Eden Hazard and Raheem Sterling, who all have eight or more goals to their names so far.
“I know Auba. I’ve known him for six or seven years,” Sokratis – who also played alongside Aubameyang in Dortmund, told Arsenal’s official website.
“In these games he does it every time, one, two or three goals. I think 30 will happen. I hope that he will win it (the Golden Boot).”
