Barcelona have confirmed the signing of Valencia defender Jeison Murillo on loan for the rest of the season.
The Catalans have the option to make the deal permanent for about £22.6million.
Murillo has only played three times for Valencia this season after joining from Inter Milan in the summer, and he’s without a LaLiga appearance since September.
He will be officially presented as a Barcelona player next Thursday and should be eligible to play once the January transfer window opens.
The signing comes amid a defensive crisis at the Nou Camp. Ernesto Valverde has just two fit centre-backs, one left-back and no right-backs at his disposal.

The club had been linked with out-of-favour Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen, although the Blues reportedly made clear he is not sale.
LaLiga is currently in its winter break, but injuries to Samuel Umtiti, Sergi Roberto, Nelson Semedo and most recently Thomas Vermaelen have emphasised the need for more depth.
Murillo, the 26-year-old Colombia international, has previously played for Granada, Cadiz and Las Palmas in Spain.
