Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli has continued to take a light-hearted approach to dealing with the bottle-throwing incident against Arsenal.
Alli was struck by the missile at the Emirates as Spurs beat their rivals 2-0 in the Carabao Cup.
The incident, which threatened to overshadow the England international’s excellent display against the Gunners, saw Alli riposte by making a ‘2-0’ gesture with his hands.
This angered opponents Sokratis and Laurent Koscielny before referee Jon Moss got involved to diffuse the situation.
But Alli, it appears, has looked to take the sting out of the incident, which is being dealt with by Arsenal and the Metropolitan Police by posting an image of the moment the bottle was hurtling towards him on Instagram with the caption ‘It was at this moment he knew… he f***** up’ – a throwback to an old internet meme.
